Canal Zone Dec. 9, 1905 2c rose Map Variety (#11a, 4P Dark carmine ovpt), "ZONE" in Antique type (Pos. 48 - 1500 issued), tied by Very Scarce TABERNILLA, Jan. 20, 1906, duplex (Hs-2a) on back of small cover to Paraiso with UNRECORDED, "PARAISO, CANAL ZONE./JAN 20 4 PM 1906/REC'D" backstamp with center dial inverted. Additional straight-line "ADVERTISED" (MisN-27b) and "UNCLAIMED" (Unc-1) handstamps on front and Paraiso, Feb. 28, backstamp (Hs-1c w/ year inverted). A Fine cover with minor edge flaws and superfluous writing. An Important Showpiece with a Scarce Error on cover and a Very Scarce early Tabernilla postmark, an Unrecorded and possibly unique Paraiso receiver, and two nice auxillary markings.
